About the project
With a prime location on the banks of the river Itchen and direct links to Southampton’s vibrant city centre, Chapel Riverside is the embodiment of luxury modern living. This impressive development boasts 132 apartments of 1 or 2 bedrooms, many with beautiful far reaching views to the sea. In order to ensure the finish of each apartment was as high quality as the location, the developers contacted the experienced team here at Bell’s Décor after being impressed by our decorating skills in previous projects.
The decorating
In the show apartment, we used wall paper to highlight feature walls and to add depth and texture to the main rooms of the home. To achieve the accuracy needed when applying wall coverings, we combined modern technology, in the form of a laser level and precision masking tape to achieve the all-important straight line, with years of experience to perfectly match the pattern by hand. We also used two different colour paints to create a unique effect.
For the remaining apartments in the prestigious development we used a white emulsion on the walls and ceiling and white satin on the woodwork. The neutral colour scheme creates a seamless aesthetic that’s perfect for modern tastes and lifestyles.
The Result
This is an ongoing project began in the summer of 2019 and the developers are delighted with the decoration and finish we have given the apartments so far. They are particularly pleased with the quality of the finished paintwork as it reflects the high-end look and feel of the entire development.
